1st Day of Chinese New Year

just 1 word 2 describe this, tiring... haih... that's y i dread the 1st & 2nd days of CNY... the visiting and greetings ' happy CNY uncle this and uncle that, happy CNY auntie this n auntie that' what some more, the right thing 2 call ur relatives... like ku por, kam mo, blah blah blah... really a bother...

just like 2 day, went to yee pak koong's hse to visit him... found him outside with his flowers n we also took a guess that he was waiting 4 visitors... hehehe.. we went inside after a while we had groundnut porridge... really nice...

i took a small bowl s usual n as i was finishing, guests from church started arriving.. ng ku por, tsu ming kau fu, hooi min che che, min jie kau fu, min wei kau fu n cheong kong were the first to arrive from church, followed by my dear carmen n family n then the koh family... soon pak koong's house was crowded and he decided to sit outside to enjoy his smoke instead...

soon everyone was enjoying porridge while i enjoyed watching tv (i was the first to finish :p), min jie kau fu started to have itchy fingers and began taking candid shots... haih... after eating was chatting time... everyone was engaged in conversation... then before we left, group photos... 1st was the group, then generation, the last was me, yun xian, carmen, leanne koh and joanne koh.. i have 2 admit i was a little irritated when she sat next 2 me, but all was well...

then we adjourned 2 uncle eric's new house... it was really nice, spacious and beautiful... i loved the garden especially... auntie violet took us for a tour of the house, 1 word ... amazing, on the sofa upstairs were, 2 how would i put it, soft toys in the shape of ragnarok characters... they were so KAWAII!!! (cute)... if i could i would have hugged it the whole time i was there, especially the big, light pink 1... ahem... enough... time 2 continue with serious blog writting.. :p

there were 3 groups, the ladies, the men, and young fellas upstairs playing games... i was starting to feel boredom creeping in when everyone moved out to regroup 2 the 3 groups i mentioned just now... i was either sitting on the sofa, standing, or sitting on the floor with carmen... haih... kuan keat ( sorry if i spelled it wrongly) was really friendly... well neway, thanks 4 making me comfortable during my time there...

the only thing that makes up for this time are the angpows, rite?
