Finally its over...

whew, finally its OVER!!! that's a relieve... hehehe :p what an extremely tiring weekend and the result is an aching body at the end of it... haih.. :(

SATURDAY
s usual i have to work to replace next week's saturday... so i left my hse at around 8, 2 eat breakfast blah blah blah and went to work...

Michael came to fetch me after work at 1 and we went 2 eat ramen in pyramid.. then we left 4 church at 2.30pm.

after church at 4, we stayed back to help out with the cleaning and tying of ribbons... honestly lar, wasn't as fun as i thought it would be... Michael and the rest of the guys were 2 help clean the benches, mop the floor and clean the white boards... hehehe...

we stayed until nearly 6 then most of them went home 2 take showers and rest but 4 of us went in Michael's car and reached ku por's house at a little past 6.30pm. since Michael was the only guy there, he has to help carry alot of things... hehehe :p by 7, fatigue was already getting 2 me..

later was dinner n after dinner was the preparation of the programme and flower cosecs arrangement... that went on until past 10pm.. when i finally hit my bed, i found myself drifting off within minutes..

SUNDAY
(THE MAIN DAY)

i felt s though i had barely slept, i heard my mom knocking on the door, telling me to get up. it was 7.30am already... i pulled myself out of bed and got dressed...

when we reached, Michael was behind us, hehehe... just on time.. n since we were early, we had the best parking spots.. it was kind of hard 4 Michael to park at first
(he brought the vios) so, in the end, my mom suggested another way...

there were plenty 2 do... carmen was off 2 practice the wedding march, Michael and i were busy arranging the programmes, the older generations were busy with the cakes and pinning on the cosecs, my dad was hanging around
(observing, giving suggestions, and helping out if possible), and the caterers were busy with the food... the rest were busy with the camera and taking photos... :p

guests and church members start arriving by 9.30 onwards, a few of the church brother
s (bro. weng leong, wai hong, wai git, Min Wei kau fu) became the traffic police for the day...

by 10.00, the church was full of people... Tsu Ming kau fu came first, looking nervous... Hooi Min che che
(oops, should be Hooi Min kam mo aledi) came later, looking beautiful n sweet...

then Dn. John Ho proceeded with the ceremony (called the Holy Matimony), blah blah blah, exchange of vows and rings, blah, blah, blah... sermon, blah blah blah... sing a couple of hymms, blah blah blah, Dn. John Ho says I now pronounce you man and wife... Finish...

lunch... family members were crowding to take photos with the bride and groom.. but i had to serve as a waitress and serve the cakes... haih..

after lunch, all family members proceeded to ku por's house for the traditional tea serving ceremony... this was where i offically call Hooi Min che che Kam Mo and of course le there was red packets to be collected... hehehe... the look on her face when the nieces and nephews calls her auntie... hehehe...

home sweet home at 3.30... the real war and beauty will start soon, but its time 4 some sleep first... the thing i dun really like about offical functions is that dressing up takes a long time... haih...

Michael came and fetched us in the vios and we reached there at around 6.35pm.. many people were already there, all dressed up... my parents went around socializing, Michael and i hung around taking photos... soon we saw the appearance of 'datuk' wai git... hehehe... i didn't notice adam around and surprisingly, joanne koh didn't turn up for the whole day...

yup, chinese wedding dinners never start on time.. we started past 8, actual time 7.30... the waiters and waiteress made a flashy entrance with our first dish... Michael's comment was it looked like the Olympic games... hehehe...

uncle Chee Kin was the mc that night, great command of english... the deco in the hall was GREAT!!! simply lovely... there was a slide show with all their wedding photos on one side.. the stage, the ribbons, the flowers, i also dunno how to say aledi.. 2 words.. simply lovely.. then there was this traditional, who will get the bouquet of flowers from the bride.. Win Ann was so lucky..

by 10 i was already starting to feel body ache coming... but it still wasn't finished yet.. ppl were starting to hang out side of the hall...

we finally left at around 11 +... ppl were already leaving... when we got home, Michael got down and opened the door for me... hehehehe... first time... when i finally slept it was past 12... and woke up with an extremely aching body this morning...

thus ends a fairytale wedding and the start of Hooi Min che che neverending dream..
