Yup, it was like a mini hurricane in subang on thursday. the storm not only hit subang area s i thought but also cyberjaya s well..
it was around 3 something in the afternoon, n the sky grew darker. i thought it was going to rain s usual so i didn't give it much thought.. then i went to the back to get some files.. when i came out from there i could c that it was raining quite heavily.. not more than 5 mins after i sat down, i heard my collegue (she was at the reception with a client) telling the receiptionist to quickly lock the main doors in a really panicky voice... me n another collegue quickly rushed to the front to c what was going on..
our main doors (the doors were made of glass) swinging and the rain water was coming in... a big plant that was near the receiption table was being blown down.. my other collegue went to lock the doors since none of us dare to walk near those doors..n he was the only male in our department... so.. hehehe... he had to do the job.. all of us stood inside looking at the storm.. it looked like we were having a very mini hurricane katrina here in malaysia.
it was really frightening watching from inside... we could barely see across the road...when the wind was really strong, we couldn't even c further than the pavement in front of our office... then suddenly we heard a loud crash outside.. we thought that some window or signboard from one of the shops have flown off... then one of our auditors intercom our department informing us to use the back stairs if and when we want to go upstairs.. it seems that the crash that we heard came from our building.. third floor's main stairs window was blown off and crashed below.. 2nd floor's main stairs window was only hanging on 1 hinge only.. going to fall off anytime.. our audit signboard was also blown down..
our neighbour, a restaurant, had quite a few things of his flying away as well.. n a college futher down had a collasped signboard... usj had quite a few broken branches and uprooted trees...
this small storm caused this amount of damage, imagine having hurricane katrina here... houses will be flying... hehehe.. :p
